Downtown Seattle

The sights and sounds of Seattle down-town was unlike any other visit I had in the past. After a weeklong gloomy and rainy weather, Saturday the 27th March was a fantastically sunny day. So much so, it drew out the city inhabitants out of their homes and into open spaces. I began my day with a stroll down the 5th Avenue until I reached the Glass Blowing Studio and a lesson was about to start. I spent a while observing and understanding the basics of making fine art out of glass.

The next stop was the space needle. Though I had visited this magnificent structure once before, I wanted to purchase some souvenirs. The Pike place market was the most exciting place as this was one of the biggest attractions judging by the crowed that had congregated that morning. Place is world famous for its Alaskan Sea Crabs, Starbuks, farmer’s market and many other attractions along with a number of specialty shops located in the labyrinth sub terrain shops located in the market place. But most fascinating sight was the many musicians some playing for raising money for a cause and some just to make a living. It was an amazing display of talent and character starting from a group of old black men, singing Boys II Men songs in front of the Starbuks Café to a group of youngsters calling themselves as Careless Lovers playing a five man band down pike street.
